Have you, by any chance, felt that once in your life, you’ve been in a situation when you were almost like dreaming? Those things were happening right before your eyes, and yet, things were just so beautiful and almost perfect that you’ve never imagined it would really ever happen?
How many of us would love to tie the knot with the person we truly love? How many of us would want to spend the rest of our lives with someone whom we would share our future, our mind, our soul, and our heart with? As one saying goes, “Not every person marries the person he/she truly loves because sometimes, it is whom the person needs most who he/she marries!”
I have asked these questions because I have been in these situations…
When I was a kid, I’ve dreamt of getting married, of course…but the simplest wedding I could have…with the man I truly love!!
Simplest wedding, maybe because I have always believed that it is not in the rites that matters most, but in the marriage itself…Further, I’ve always imagined starting a family that is loan-free, and stress-free…
With the man I love, because I believed that I would only get married once and the reason would only have to be because I want to or I love to...and not because I have to or I need to!!
As I have grown up, I’ve learned that there are some beliefs or views that have changed thru time…and there are just some left unchanged…like mine…
When my boyfriend (then) proposed last 2007, and accepted it, we immediately started the wedding preparations as he was about to return to work (abroad) after only a week…Our wedding was planned to be on June 2008.
Simple it may seem for us, but relatives and guests found our wedding a grand one…
The ceremony was simple, and solemn, just like what we wanted. But you could feel that the ocassion was so special...so captivating....
It may be in the place where we held the rites, or in the reception we chose....but I guess, there were more than that....
It may be in the cooperation of the people who were given assignments during the ceremony and in the reception...or maybe the full support of both families and relatives that could really be felt and noticed...or the joyful feeling from the guests itself...
I guess, the most important thing that made the event so memorable and special was the feeling coming from me and my husband...
It was indeed a sight to behold as we exchanged our vows and completed the ceremony!!! The love that we both have during the ocassion was so heartfulfilling!! It was overflowing that people couldn't help but share the happiness we experience!!!
It was certainly shown from our eyes and our smiles, that the event was without a doubt a wait that has finally been over!!!
